There are a lot of aspiring solicitors, trainees and solicitors sharing their personal journeys of how they got to where they are and how you can follow in their footsteps. Here are 10 influencers you should be following in 2022 and where to find them.
1. Success with Steph (Instagram and YouTube)
Steph is a trainee lawyer at a US firm in London. She has an Instagram page, blog and YouTube channel where she shares her personal journey into the law, her day-to-day experience training at a Global law firm, advice for those seeking training contracts and much more.
Her honesty about her experience is quite refreshing as she offers a level of transparency that is hard to come by in the legal field. She is also super friendly so don’t hesitate to reach out to her if you have any questions.
Shannon is a trainee solicitor at an UK law firm in London. She has a very active Instagram and YouTube account where she talks about her journey into the law and provides great career tips for aspiring lawyers. If you are looking for entry jobs into law Shannon is constantly sharing vacancies that she finds on LinkedIn and through other mediums so definitely follow her and keep your eyes peeled!
3. Tashan Ifill (YouTube)
Tashan is a trainee solicitor at one of the Magic Circle’s firms in London and is currently on an International Secondment. He has a YouTube channel where he vlogs his experience as a trainee lawyer, gives tips on how to secure a First-Class law degree whilst producing some great lifestyle content. His channel shows that it is quite possible to excel in your training contract whilst maintaining an active social life!
4. Dani the barrister (Instagram)
Dani is an aspiring barrister that is currently undergoing her Bar Practice Course. She creates content on Instagram and YouTube where she takes us through her journey to becoming a barrister, her experience with the GDL and her day-to-day life as a BPC student.

Sophie is a London based solicitor that creates content on Instagram and has her own blog where she provides guidance and support to aspiring solicitors. On her blog you can find numerous resources to help you in your legal journey including a very helpful law firm research guide.
On her Instagram she talks about how she balances your everyday life with her career as a solicitor and has some great workwear hauls, so if you are looking for inspiration check her out!
Amanda aka Chronicles of a family solicitor is a divorce and family lawyer and a partner at her law firm. She also offers mentoring through her social platforms, where she also has her legal series including the ‘Meet a young lawyer’ and ‘Diversity in law’ series.

Zainab is a trainee solicitor that creates motivational content detailing your journey into law and her training contract.
